鉄扇壱尺は入念な仕上げの親骨、鉄地（鍛造）を強い焼付にて黒呂色に仕上げ、中骨には京都名産の竹を品良く黒塗りにし厳選された九枚の鷲を張り合わせ、誉れ高い豪華な中にも気品のある仕上がりになっています。
壱尺は時代考証により江戸時代の侍、ことに武芸者に広く愛用され重宝がられた軍扇型にて共に培われた伝統工芸技術により忠実に再現しました。
